In today's digital landscape, creating compelling, long-form content is essential for enhancing your SEO strategy and engaging your audience. To help you achieve this, I've developed an innovative AI app using Moonlit, a no-code platform, designed to generate long-form content with remarkable efficiency. This blog post will guide you through my journey of building this AI tool, highlighting the pivotal role of Moonlit in simplifying the process of creating in-depth and authoritative content. From leveraging existing resources to overcoming challenges and harnessing the power of AI, this walkthrough is a testament to the potential of no-code solutions in transforming content creation.

2. Enhanced SEO Performance: Long-form content tends to perform well in search engine rankings. This is because it often covers a topic extensively, includes a variety of relevant keywords, and provides value to readers, which are factors that search engines favour.

This app will perform a Google Search regarding a specific topic contained by a company website with the goal of generating a long-form blog post by piecing together information found from previously written posts.
For example, let's say we want to write about 'The ultimate guide to AI in Marketing 2024' for Hubspot, we will perform a Google Search with the query: "site:https://blog.hubspot.com/ AI in Marketing". After that we'll get the top 3 posts about that topic written on the Hubspot blog. Then we'll use ChatGPT to compile the information in these pages into a final blog post.
- Site URL: We will use this to perform a Google search restricted only to the company site
- Topic: The topic to search the company site about
- Step 1: First we'll do our Google Search function with the search query incited earlier: site:{company_url} {topic} this will search for content around that topic constrained by the company url.
- Step 2: Once we have our URLS, we'll use a very simple 'Custom Python Function' to get the top 3 pages.
- Step 3: Here we have 3 'Scrape Webpage' functions for pulling the main text body from each of our top 3 pages, ready to be passed to the AI model.
- Steps 4-5: Lastly we'll use a ChatGPT model along with prompt chaining techniques to get a high quality long form content around our topic. In step 4, we start our prompt by providing the content from the 3 pages from the previous step, after that we'll ask it to generate an outline for the blog post. In this first 'Chat Model' function we will tick the include message history checkbox so we can pass the message history to the second 'Chat Model' where we'll be asking it to generate the blog post according to the outline.
- HTML Output: We finally map the output into an 'HTML output' node to display the result in a readable manner.
In conclusion, the approach we took for generating long-form content using AI has some unique benefits, including:
- The information/content used in this piece will be unique to your domain since it's derived from previous posts under the same domain increasing authority.
- Interlinking opportunities
There are also some limitation to keep in mind when using this app:
- It only uses 3 pages.
- The model may hallucinate if the posts don't contain information relevant to the original given topic.
As with most of my Moonlit Apps, this one is allowed to be cloned. So you can add to your project and edit it to better fit your use-case or even run it at scale using Moonlit's Bulk Run functionality. You can edit things like the number of pages to use, the prompts, or extend it's functionality and automation capabilities.
